WM Recorder 16.8 is a shareware video recorder and converter developed by applian Technologies for Windows, it's well-designed and efficient.

Likewise, it can download media in batches from well-known video-sharing sites, such as YouTube. Fortunately, it supports capturing various media formats. One of its most valuable assets is that it can record in a background mode.

The application comes as a bundle of various tools, including Screen Recorder, Stream Recorder, WM Audio and WM Converter. I find this particularly confusing as frequent switching between these tools becomes necessary. However, I have to agree that some users may feel more comfortable if they do not have to deal with all the features from a single window.
